When ur quota is complete, ur internet stops and a pop up comes up (Came in my laptop browser as well as on my android phone) also an exclaimation mark on the wifi logo. The pop up gives u two options. 1. Continue with same speed for another 20GB and pay Rs.X or 2. continue surfing at lower speed.
P.S. Extra money will be charged in next bill

Anyone who has used this feature... Can you confirm if it requires some kind of authorization through mobile or anything else? Or is it like the first version of Airtel's SmartBytes where anyone on the network can bump your connection with additional packages?

There's no authentication. Anybody can add packages, at any time regardless of FUP usage crossed or not. https://172.30.19.42/bsnlfup/usage.php this URL allows one to check usage and add high speed data even if FUP usage hasn't been crossed.

Nice but right now i am lucky

Using BB Home Combo ULD 800...Finished my 6GB quota in 3 days beginning of the month but for past two days i am getting 1mbps instead of 512kbps

I too was in the same plan, was getting 1 Mbps flat unlimited since 2 years, recently changed it to 4 Mbps , they gave me new userid which ends with 'scrid' and I lost my unlimited flat speed . I regret changing my plan, now I get FUP speed of 512 kbps .

this is such a horrible implementation and those "programmers" in bsnl dont know anything about security.
Well about the top up part as far as i know it will look at your remote IP then determine your account name from there.
When you hit the FUP your connection gets stopped till you make a decision and that decision screen will only come up when i reset my modem.
I have also noticed that you can still open any indian site only sites outside will be blocked.
This FUP crap is a cash grab plain and simple.
