After getting in touch with skypro customer care on whatsapp and providing them with the connection details, the app started working.

Yes @sloj, there were two messages, one was regarding successful registration on the portal and the other one was received when I logged into the app on my TV for first time.

It was smooth for me when I registered. I didn't have to contact Skypro for activation. Just OTPs and registration confirmation messages on WhatsApp and SMS. Except the latest version 1.8.34 of the app fails to run on my device.

The IFTV thingie is working for me as well here in HR. We were talking about it on BSNL TG group and I activated it back in Dec.
Took a day for activation. App is kinda stale, and I haven't looked into how to add more channels etc.
One question, it does use data from the FUP right?

According to BSNL, nope. It runs on a local private server inside BSNL network. That's why they call it IFTV (INTRANET Fiber TV). No option to add or remove for now.

@sloj that's good to know. I was under the impression that it was chipping away data from my FUP.
