Hi,

20 AXN
23 Channel V
28 Star Movies
30 Jaya Plus
31 Star One
40 Animax
43 VOI News
47 Mega TV
50 Star Vijay
54 Asianet Plus
64 Colors
73 Sudharshan TV
85 O TV

Thanks,
Madhan.

Worked with IOL and got the issues resolved. They had to tweak something in the exchange. The channel switch time is also down to 1-2 seconds, from the 4-5 seconds earlier.

I should really appreciate the IOL cust care - not just this time, every time I had called them - I have got a good response for whatever is within their control.

How do you rate BSNL IPTV of Bangalore? Is it worth a buy. I need channels like Colors, UTV Movies, Zee Cinema, SET, Star Gold, Star Movies, HBO, AXN. How much does it cost and what Broadband plan do they give for the same, what;s the total expenditure?

Actually I think BSNL IPTV is quite good. The other day I saw a demo and I was quite impressed with that but I don't have any plans of migrating to IPTV.

I don't completely agree with this, it is still lagging very much in terms of quality and features. There are still problems and you need to restart your modem and STB sometimes. We were promised 150+ channels but has not been provided yet. (But BSNL has been decent enough to not to charge us, they have promised that we will not be charged till we get 170 channels.)

There were other features in pipeline like live TV pause and playing a recorded programme. But if a basic problem like the number of channels has not yet been solved yet, I am not sure how long customers will have to wait for these add on features. And to add to this now DTH providers(like Tata Sky) have already come up with these features.

I have both Tata Sky and BSNL IPTV. I still plan to continue with IPTV as I believe in this technology. It has a larger potential and can give you more than DTH.

if the channels you watch regularly are in their current list of 90 channels then its not a bad choice.. i've had this since its launch and its totally free, i dont have to pay until i get the full 150+ channels and the additional features.. so its cool!!.. and about the clarity and stuff.. its pretty good for me..

IOL's service become very bad. They have gone underground for quite some time few weeks ago for about 10 days redirecting all the call to the toll free # 18003750111. The head of the IOL, bangalore has also resigned during this period. I has been more than a year now still they are strugling to maintain even the existing channels.

They say all will be ok by next year January.
