BSNL has come out with a couple of new GPRS Packs to compete with the Private player's GPRS packs.13 - 3days - 100mb18 - 1day - unlimited89 - 30days - 2GBThere are minimum balance requirements which you call the customer care for details.They also sent me an offer for Trial of 2GB pack. To activate that send "GPRS TRIAL" to 53733.Btw. these offers might be for Kerala only.

BSNL E-GPRS is terrible here in Noida i average only abt 30-40 Kbps..airtel on the other hand averages 100-150 Kbps

@cyberwiz Its not E-GPRS, its EDGE. And yes BSNL has very poor signal in some case. Change the DNS address in your GPRS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 . If this not working, probably its a network problem. Check with your friends' mobile to confirm.

Just use APN: bsnlnet, changing DNS would not have a major change in speed.
