I have a BSNL modem WA3002-g1 and using the same for the past 5 months. I am planning to change the ISP to AirTel. Can someone let me know as whether this modem is compatible with AirTel modem?
Theres another post on this forum for the same query. Check it out: https://broadband.forum/airtel-broadband/14075-can-i-use-bsnl-modem-airtel/
Hope it helps. BTW, how has your exp with BSNL been? I've been using Sify and ave not been very satisfied with it as there r too many down times and hell lot of connectivity problems with its network in my area.
Please refer instructions in above website, and change settings for Airtel.
Try with a friend having Airtel connection !
I will not disconnect DATAONE even though Ihave Airtel BB connection Rs 250/ 400MB modem rent Rs 99/-
Reason 1. 2Mbps translates to maximum 250KB/sec ( ideal conditions) for Rs 250/PM 1 GB
2. modem rent Rs 60 /pm
3. Check usage online with minimum backlog
Your flattering remarks have encouraged me to go for BSNL and have also taken off my grief of not being able to get Airtel due to its unavailability in my area The only worry that I had regarding BSNL, on the quality and response time of its customer service due to its govt tag, has now gone away. Btw, is Type II modem (WiFi) good enuf to get wireless connectivity on laptop within the house? Any problems with that? Or a wireless router of one's own will be a better option?
