I have BSNL Home500 connection. When i try to dwnld anything from torrents, i get very slow speed. I am using Netgear router DG834G, i know i need to port forward to increase the download speed. I set the port start range from 25231 to 25350 and service type as TCP/UDP.

I set the "set to lan server" as 192.168.0.2 as it shows my laptop address in connected device in router configuration, still i am getting slow speed while downloading. I get dwld speed upto 10kbps only.

Please help me to set correct portforwarding for this router.
Please correct me if i am doing something wrong while doing port forwarding.

Thanks in advance. I got dwnld speed upto 300kbps in IDM.

Welcome to broadbandforum.co
Firstly improve download speed.
Try these programs
connection booster from www. trafficzapper.com or ( select default values )
TCP/IP optimiser from www. speedguide. net.
Check speed Before and after settings change at www.speedtest .net
About torrents , please wait for other users suggestions , as I am not very familiar with the subject.

PS: the "smiley" not seen in this forum ????
