BSNL stopped Wimax service in Kerala

BSNL stopped Wimax services in Kerala on June 30th 2020. It was supposed to happen on March 31 2020 , but got extended because of the lock down period.

I was still using Wimax as a backup and it was indeed a good performer at 5Mbps speed.

So it's time to say bye bye to Wimax ,it was with me since 2011

I was into HOWI 495 plan , unlimited one. But used to get 5Mbps as against the tariff card.

I read that WiMAX performance drops when it is raining, is it so?

@Gokul Kannan , nope I haven't faced such issues. If the CINR is good , then it used work in any weather conditions.

maybe the 20Mhz of 2500Mhz band used for Wimax gonna be used for 4G

@amalrakoff Yeah that's was their intended plans ,but their 4g will not happen in any near future since their tender procedures are trapped from day 1 since they floated it, due to shit government practices.
