that's what common sense suggests. if the rental is zero, why not simply go for a second line for your broadband needs.

Rental is Zero fine. but it wont be fine if they charge initial deposit or some other charges for new phone. anyway with exixting phone the plan of 900 is good as land line is not much used in my house. i ve to wait one more month to take bsnl now hanging fine with sify 1100 pack

they are not charging anything for the second phone.. ...i think only 500rs of instalation charege and 1000rs secutiry depost which will be refundedthanks

Now two plans for our convinient** For Home Plan UL 900 Plus: Telephone Rental per month- Nil, Free Calls- Nil, MCU charges per Pulse @ Rs. 1/- shall be applicable. Security Deposit and Installation charges as applicable for Local/STD/ISD shall be taken from new customers.##For Home Plan UL 900: Telephone Rental per month, Free Calls & MCU charges per pulse shall be as per existing plan of the customer.

i think 1000 rs is the secrity deposit .... is the security deposit refundable?thanks

Lol a deposit mean that you are keeping it with them temporarily for a service like we do with bank. Obviously it is refundable but when you surrender connection it is a frustating procedure with this sarkari babus.

I cant believe BSNL produced such a poor plan after all that waiting. This plan should have been available for something like 700+99 Rs max. Airtel 900+99 is 256kbps unlimited along with double speeds at night. So, once again damn AIRTEL wins without any fight. And the worst part is that BSNL 's plan is so baaaaaaaaaddddddd it wont even force Airtel to drop their prices.

yes you can but you will have to avail of it on two different telephone lines...
