BSNL Usage Website Down

BSNL usage website is down on last day of the month [ 31 Mar ]
http://www.data.bsnl.in/wps/portal [ for multi play customers ]
this is downright illegal .. since i should be allowed to inspect it every minute as a consumer .. what if my bill gets inflated !!
i cannot surf for fear my data usage may go past free limit [ i am using the Rs 500 plan ] unless i know what i spent yesterday i cannot surf .. i guess i have 150 mb left to consume but it is a guess
last month i got a mistaken bill of Rs 5500 .. someone should take BSNL to consumer court

You are missing the most important point. Self care portals do not update in real time manner. Your usage for today may wait say some 10 hours to get displayed. Most of us use a bandwidth meter to keep track of our usage. Try one from Netwox or Shaplus. Please note that these software give values closer to the portal value (say +/- 50 MB), but the reading on BSNL portal is final.

they do update by next day [ or at least for me have always ] .. the website has never been down as it has been from 6 AM today [ Mar 31 ]
i also have Wishnet Broadband and that self care portal updates instantly ; previously i had Sify and that too updated instantly . my friends tell me Airtel updates instantly ..
[ i have post paid cell phone and that updates instantly also .. ]
not allowing customers access to their accounts is malpractice .. it is like saying you cannot have access to your electric meter for next 2 weeks .. or like being in a cab and not being able to see the meter run .. :impissed:
those with Rs 500 plan have night unlimited plan so it is of no use having a bandwidth counter [ i have one ] .. how do i segregate the free time usage from charged time usage ? i have tried to look for counters which can stop working between 2 - 8 AM but not found any ..
the BSNL site itself not opening for one full working day [ Internal Sever Error page is coming up ] is unprecedented .. does any other multi play customer have this problem [ server 117.xxx.xxx.xxx ]

thanks for the links . i waited for a month before reply since i wanted to test both of them out . both work like a charm but the NetWorx is better for me since i use a modem for BSNL and another LAN connection from cable operator [ WishNet ] through USB port adapter . i found it difficult to configure the Shaplus to only detect BSNL . with NetWorx i could just select " All DialUp Connections " and it works [ WishNet self care portal updates instantly . so it needs no monitoring ]
