Can anyone confirm if BSNL Fiber provides IPv6 in Hyderabad?

There are articles all over the internet that BSNL has switched to IPv6. Is it true? Do you have IPv6 connectivity?

I am especially interested if BSNL provides IPv6 in Hyderabad.

I do have an Alphion ONT but I use it in Bridge Mode with an Asus Router (RT-AC53). And enabling IPv6 via "Native" and "Passthrough" methods yielded no results.

Can IPv6 be only enabled via Alphion ONT (PPPoE)? Or is it possible with bridge mode?

You have to select IPv4 and v6 when setting bridge mode on the ONT. If that's done then must be something else or it just isn't enabled yet.

I am not getting a v6 yet. Checked last week. Will check again and update.

I can confirm that Alphion ONT does not provide an option to select IP version when using bridge mode.

So there is no other way?

Check via ONT first in route mode then. If all is well, then try with the router later.

I ran into another problem.

Alphion ONT cannot connect to Internet in PPPoE mode. But Asus router can connect to internet when Alphion is in bridge mode.

Seems like PPPoE MAC address lock as reported in a post a few days ago.

That is so ridiculous!

In retrospect I should have used the ONT MAC address on the Asus router! Because Alphion ONT does not have an option to spoof MAC.
