Can connect to the internet,but data light in my teracom T1-B-DSL699E9.4U6-5 stays off.Please help..

Now guys,i have a new problem...the data light doesnot evn blink for once when i am connected to the internet...it stays off throughout xcept the time of modem startup when it blinks momentarily,as all lights on te modem do simultaneously.......despite all these i can connect to the internet.... please help me out....
