ADSL routers doesnt have RJ45 WAN port instead it has RJ11 port now,is it even possible to use the router in bridge mode.I don't think so.

i managed to convert my adsl router to a wan ethernet router bhai , you are late to the party

With a different firmware one of the LAN ports can be converted to a WAN port. I believe that's what @Evilbrain did.

Anyway I was just asking for my own understanding, not for this particular use case.
