I've read thru the help on portforward dot com......... but then I donot have a virtual server option in my router's settings......... its the same as that of matrunner
yes u people are facing same old prob like mine...but i have rectified it....actually newly given UT300R2u doesn have virtual server setup.... there's another way to get ALL NETWORK CONNECTIONS ARE FINE IN torrents clients u use to get full speed... follow the procedure stated below...
start -> run -> cmd (xp)
know ur system ip address by typing ipconfig ...since bsnl it must be 192.168.1.x (above 3)
go to IE http://192.168.1.1
(router config page opens after typing admin, admin)
there advanced -> NAT -> dmz host
there type in ur ip address as found in cmd click save/apply this doesnt require reboot r any...just restart ur torrent client....
u r left with no other option for effective usage as per latest router modems provided by bsnl.....yes use a good antivirus - i use avast home edition with full resident protection , win xp sp2....its good with no prob i am facing .....even checked a site verifying free online security...i forgot the address...i am more secure it says....what prob u specify will occur....state the few consequencies....
thnx a lot.............. for ur suggestion guys..........i tried with that DMZ port and it works!.......... but then my norton keeps on springing up saying its found adware..........is that because of the danger associated with DMZ??????
anyway guys happy surfing....have a good time...but recent newspapers say that using torrents are going to be banned as to curb piracy....till then enjoy downloading movies....
