Cant get to internet using Bsnl Broadband

Hi..

i just got my new bsnl braodband connection (H500 c plan) yestrday,,..all was fine when the bsnl personnel came n connected the modem n went...till there was a powercut...after that i am not able to get to the internet connection,..i tried ping (ip), etc.. all show connection from my laptop to the modem is ok,...and the link light is on the modem...only prob is data light is not coming...has it got anything to do with my security settings on windows vista?? plz help me...what am i to do?? i contacted bsnl helpline, but they were very unhelping...by the way my momem is siemens c2110...i tried to login to http://192.168.1.1 , this is what it said in the overview..

IN DNS typw 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 Check again and give feed back
If you are using Wanminiport dialer enter User ID with or without @ bsnl.in and try.

the broadband was installed, the next day its not working...

this means he is using bridge mode.only in bridge mode when connected ipconfig will show the status of a ppp adapter different from physical LAN adapter/adapters.

change it manually to 192.168.1.x where 'x' is any number between 3-253.

change it to 192.168.1.1

Thanks for the information that @members/hafissayed/ is connecting on dialup mode.
What you have suggested I have already mentioned in my post No 6.

This means I don't know that he is connecting via wan miniport dialer . Agreed.

well, i almost cured the problem...now i am able to get online...by the way i amnt using this dialer or anything...my connection is supposed to be always on but now each time i have to get connected..i got to login to htpp://192.168.1.1 (modem site) and click on connect using my broadband username and p/w under internet connections...also while browsing..a dialog box appears asking me to connect to any newtwork..i have to click cancel in order to contiue browsing...any cure for this?

thanx for all the help in advance friends ...i seem to have another problem..i cam not able to login to http://bbservice.bsnl.in like before to check my usage....but i am able to login to that using dialup...
