Can't see wifi-router config page

Hi,I use Vista ultimate,beetel 220bx,Netgear wgr614 v6.an ps assembler, configured the netgear to work with the modem a year back.and now if i connect the beetel 220bx-(ethernet wire)-netgear. i can connect my iPhone with wifi, and simultaneously connect my PC-(USB)-beetel 220.so both work now.what i wanted to do was set a password for netgear (wifi), so that if any laptop, or mobile tries to connect to the wifi, it will ask them a password to connect.now i tried connecting (I used 2 ethernet wires)beetel 220netgearPC according to the netgear online manual.but whenever i login 192.168.1.1, the beetel dsl page opens up,and i don't see any wireless/security/wep option.anybody can sort out this mess !

well thats mostly an ip conflict cause both modem and router has same ip.. what you can do is disconnect all cables from the wifi router and connect a computer to the router.. then go to 192.168.1.1 and change the ip address of the router to something like 192.168.2.1 .. so next time when u want to access the beetel modem you can use 192.168.1.1 and to access Netgear you can use 192.168.2.1

hi,i already done that,disconnected the modem, and connected only Netgear to PC with ethernet wire,but 192.168.1.1 won't open up !is there any way i can know the i.p. of netgear !

Try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1

Also delete all old temporary Internet files.

is dhcp enabled in the Netgear?? connect only netgear to pc and go to command prompt type ipconfig and post results here

if this is the output when you connect only the Netgear... then if you type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.. the netgear has to open..cause it says default gateway 192.168.1.1

Hi,the Netgear page doesn't open up !i switched off and disconnected the beetel modem,and only connected netgear and pc.but still doesn't open up !should i reset the netgear by pressing that button on it's rear !but i think that will make netgear not work (It will have to be configured), and Presently as i am able to connect to internet without wifi, i won't able to do even that after the reset is done, and if even then the config page doesn't open up, then i won't be able to use wifi at all !
