So if DTH companies are to benefit then therefore they would provide better service and DTH consumers will benefit too!

Many plus points.
1> Regulatory mechanism
2> Freedom to choose channels of your choice
3> No arbitrary moving of channels to other bands
4> Improvement over the almost non existent customer care of cable operators
5> No more pushing of selective channels in the low reception frequency range
6> No more dadagiri of the cable operator
7> Digital cable over the present analog transmission

i'm sure there are many more .

well i;m waiting for the day when the consumer will have complete choice in terms of choosing what he wants to watch. right now, there are govt. policies disallowing certain broadcasters and satellites from beaming into india. thats something i want to see change.only then will CAS/DTH/IPTV be actually beneficial for the consumers.but as i keep saying often, even this is a big relief...
