hi frnds, i just want to know some details about location change. at present i am staying in chennai. I got transfer to bangalore. Now i am planning to change the DTH from chennai to bangalore. when i spoke to cc, each person saying differently.if any body changed the DTH from one place to other please let me know the how much amount they will charge.i have different options.1) In Chennai from place to other place. i.e. tambaram to T.nagar (To freinds place)2) From chennai to Bangalore3) From Chennai to Tirupati (A.P)4) From chennai to HosurFor all the above options, i can shift my DTH.please give me how much they will charge for this.thanks in advance.rgds,vijay

If he installs the connection at the new location himself.Will they still charge him???If yes please tell me how will they get to know about the relocation?

I think he can do it by himself but his address will the same of his previous residence for any correspondence between him and TS.......

It is not a physical shifting; address and registration records are to be changed. May also issue a new 'flash code' to identify piracy. I am not sure whether they will dismantle the antenna and cable eventhough it is theirs. I believe, in UK, (SKY TV) one is advised to leave everything behind, and in the new premises, new dish is fitted or the existing one is used to continue the services. If the dish costs less than 500, it is not worth spending money to remove the dish and cable, and take it away for safekeeping. Labour charges will make the work uneconomical.Keen to hear any user experience.

When i installed my TS i asked the techinician what will they do if i relocate to other place he told me if i relocate to other place with in 1 year of the warraty period it will be free if not they will charge Rs. 600. Then i asked what will they dot he told me to take only the digicomp box and leave the dish and wire in the same place it self. in the new place they will fix new wires and dish over there. He added that they might leave the dish in the same building itself for some period........and then they will remove from the old location......

So I think the final conclusion is that you dont need to pay if you uninstall and install the dish yourself but you will not be able to recieve letters from Tata Sky.I suggest that you should do so only if the Tambaram address is your permanent one.Rest is up to you.:cool2::thumb:

you can remove and install dish by ur own with no cost.( if u can align dish to the satellite correctly)and then call cc and update the new address. they will accept the address change.. they wont charge u provided ur warranty if any will be void.
