If posible post your line stats.
Log into your modem and you will find it.save the page as image and upload it to tinypic.com and post the link here.

Anyway your plan says you are entitled to get between 256 Kb/s to 2 Mb/s bandwidth.

and speedtest result shows that.

For further information regarding configuring your modem click here .

@Kavishg786u had mentioned that ur friends are getting 80-100 kbps speed. Which plan? Is it BSNL or any other service provider? We've got 900 unlimited. The upload/download speed never exceeds 25-30 kpps for us. It is pathetic. Any other service provider offering really good speeds?

@Kavishg786You shud get a 2 Mbps connection with Home 250 plan.. also same for Home 500C plan..As long as the downstream rate from the tel.line is low, you will experience this problem..So the problem with your connection might be existent even before you had changed your planGo to modem status page and verify whether upstream line rate>=865kbps and downstream line rate=2044 kbps. If not post a complaint at the local Internet exchange, or 18004241600, they will rectify it.

go to http://192.168.1.1 and enter username and password as 'admin' .
this will generally show up the modem's status page. dont try to edit anything until you find a right guide.

If this doesnot work, you have to search for the right guide for your modem. This forum has guides for almost all modems that BSNL customers are using now.

to know the model number of your modem look at the bottom face of the modem.

This is not a remedy for your problem.. In your modem status page, you can find upstream line rate and downstream line rate, and if they are abnormal, you should post complaint with BSNL CC
