Hi Guyz,I am from chennai. I would like to buy a Graphics card.My main motto is to play Games. My budget is 4000-5000.My computer specs are Intel E2800(Dual Core), Asus P5N-MX,3 GB DDR2(800 mhz). I know that I can get it in Ritchie street. but i am not sure about the model numbers. hope you guyz can help me out with the model numbers and their rate!! thanks in advance:):)

Considering your budget you can go for Nvidia 9400GT with 512MB. You can get it in the price range of Rs. 4,000-5000(depends on how good you can negotiate).

GeForce 9400 GT

i agree with manuati 4670 is a good card for your budget, 9400 gt is useless, in richie street try delta peripherals or RC automation

Thanks for the Reply guyz. but what are games can I play with this card?

Depends on your resolution , at a mid resolution on low to med settings you an play any game . What size monitor do you have

I think you can pretty much play any game you want, some newer games could be played only on mid level graphics settings, I have 4650 and I can play most games even new ones crysis: warlord(or something),

Thanks for the info guyz.. Before 3 months i bought a Samsung syncmaster 923nwx 19 inch lcd monitor. The damages were 8.5k. In the next month it came to 7.2k. And the most worrying thing is that it don't support HDMI. It has the standard vga connector. The max resolution is 1440 x 900(75hz):huh:

Thats not an issue , 4670 has VGA out , at 1440*900 , you can comfortably play all new gen games

cool!!!.But the thing in Ritchi Street(Chennai). It's full of computer stores. Whenever I plan and want to buy a particular thing. the shop owners change my mind and finally i land up buying in something else. the last time I went to ritchie street, they showed me the brands that i never heard of. Only some of the brands i can identify. Is there anyother equivalent model . how do i identify the fake one??
