I am currently using a Netgear X6 R8000 router since about 6 years now. Lately, it seems to keep rebooting and kicking off devices from WiFi on its own, even after a factory reset so it seems like its going kaput.

I saw the Tenda RX27 Pro router available on AliExpress for £110 (c.11,000) and seems pretty good for the price. Has WiFi 6e, 160 Mhz support, 5*6dbi antennas.

The other option is to buy an old "high end" WiFi 5 router which would now be cheap. Something like the Asus AC86U which is now selling for a similar price.

Does anyone have any experience of using Tenda routers - is there any drawback in them? Given I live in a 2bed flat and have a 500 mbps connection, it doesnt make sense to spend more than this on the router so I dont want to get a WiFi 6e router from Netgear/Asus etc which seem quite expensive.

first check if AliExpress will ship to india. Even if they show that a product can be shipped to india on the product page, they will stop in the payment page.
Edit: can you post the aliexpress product link too

Then by all means go with the wifi 6e one unless there is some software feature that is present in Asus router that you require.
Tenda generally has basic firmware without much extra features where as Asus firmwares are feature packed.
