Samm,Yeah, am in Mumbai....but didnt knew the location of the person who had asked the question, so i just mentioned my opinion, if he was from Mumbai!!

Reliance Wired line gives u 600kbps for Rs.600pm!!
Are you sure? Their CC didn't know about it. They had the 600 kbps combo for Rs 649/- but if I wanted only broadband, they quoted some Rs. 1300/- for just 600 kbps. I found that very silly but CC insisted it was right.

@Samm - And yeah jymn2005 is right about Reliance being the cheapest once you include the landline cost. It gives you 600 kbps unlimited download and upload plus 50 free calls for just Rs. 649/-
However, as I mentioned, they do not list a 600 kbps broadband alone plan on their website. If you ask CC then they quote a ridiculous figure.

Emil.....I am very much sure - that Rs.50 extra is for Landline.I dont know about that Rs.1300 plan as much....but when that guy came to my place for filling up form, he clearly told me that in Rs.649 plan, if i dont want Landline, it would cost me Rs.600pm......may be their CC is ignorant to that extent - i m not joking!!And he went further to tell me that if i pay the full years' subscription for any plan - then i get 2 months' discount. So in effect, pay 10 months' rent, and get 12 months' service......But my problems were -1) Our building might be going into redevelopment in a short while. So, i dont think we would be able to utilise the full years' service.....2) Even if that doesnt happen, then there are Hayai, and 5net, who are tipped to be available in short time. Once they are available, i would think of changing my ISP again!!But i once again say - the CC told me also that 600kbps plan was for Rs.1300.....but that guy who himself sells plans cant be grossly wrong when he says "600kbps for Rs.600".....

If they can really give me 600 kbps for Rs. 600/- per month without landline it is interesting. But CC doesn't know about it so I just have to wait for the next time some joker sticks a flier on my door offering me Reliance BB plans.Even more attractive is that I can get it for a year @ Rs. 6000/- as you have implied. But then again, I will not do that in the first instance. I have to see how they fare first before committing to 1 year payment.I have been defending MTNL here but I have no brand loyalty to anyone. I will decide what benefits me. Probably what I can do is to keep my MTNL but just switch it to some cheap plan as backup while I try out Reliance. Only thing is, as I mentioned before I have very little faith in the Reliance brand.Other obstacles in my mind are the possibility of Fivenet or Hayai reaching me. So I might just wait for them because I don't really have a problem with MTNL now. Secondly, I have a hunch that MTNL might drop prices soon. In which case, it may be better to stick to it.All that was loud thinking. The conclusion is that there is no compelling reason for me to switch at the moment. I might if something changes the balance even slightly.

If the 600kbps plan exists, then it's really awesome. Reliance is just not working hard enough, otherwise, they have what it takes to become a strong and reliable option for folks around.I have seen many satisfied Reliance customers. Needless to say, you have to work a bit, to make sure things are moving the you want, otherwise, you will get IDIOTIC behavior by staff and cheap excuses for free :D *Sigh* I am gonna figure if the 600kbps plan exists in Delhi or not.

@ Emil....Yeah sure sure!! Its purely your decision, how you see it working for you.......in fact few of your problems are like mine only - the prospect of Hayai and 5net thing......And it is better to wait for a guy to come at your doorstep - coz in such a situation only he would be knowing it best!!@ SammYes you have to ask that guy who gives you those "Fliers" as Emil has mentioned. The CC doesnt know much about it.

Hi!!
If I have to pay Rs. 750/month why will I go for BSNL ill surely go for Reliance Broadnet Combo Plan where ill get 600Kbps daytime & 1Mbps at nite(10p.m-8a.m)...On top of that ill get Rs.50 free call. I have been usng Reliance Broadnet for one year i have hardly faced any problem with it. Presently im under Unlimited 300Kbps plan & it's working fine. There is no such plan in reliance where you pay Rs.600 & get 600Kbps & most importantly if you go for Combo Plan you wont be able to get Annual payment option. Regarding customer satisfaction well sometime people at Customer Care speak crap but once they raise any complan my problem get resolve wthin 24hr. Best part about Reliance Broadnet is steady speed & no downtime. Im under anual rental plan where i had to pay Rs.4500+Tax for 300Kbps Unlimited plan for 1 year. From jan ill switch over to Combo Plan "Combo 600+ Night^ Booster top up" for Rs.749+Tax.
Check the link below you will find Combo plan details of Reliance.
