Man, I just got the Nexus 4. And you all are talking about it getting outdated. Not fair! :P

The way Android phones are being released. One would consider themselves lucky if their model is among the latest even for 6 months.. Nexus 4 is about 4 months old, so anything more than 2-3 more months is a bonus :D

That stems from the problem that we always want the latest phones. If we always bought the latest phones, then we'd be bankrupt.

hopefully the stock problem would not happen with it. considering google has more control over the whole thing!

Stock problem was because of Google as Google ordered the No. of nexus 4 from LG based on the sales of Galaxy nexus

so my prediction is that xphone launches with key lime pie.
nexus 7 gets a hardware upgrade.
nexus 4, nexus 7 and nexus 10 gets key lime pie software update.
hopefully galaxy nexus would get this update as well.

Nah Google will for sure save key lime pie for their next nexus as the new nexus have to be launched in October and they would want a new android version to launch with the new nexus

My S2 was new for 1 year and 3 month because there wasn't a phone which compared to s2 in power and overall specs in that time period:D:p

S2 was released in April 2011 & even if you bought it on the 1st day, S3 was released in May 2012. So even on paper thats not true, max. you can claim is 1 year 1 month. Samsung released a lousier Nexus than their own product. Xperia S, arguably though, was also possibly a "better" choice for few In beginning of 2012.

My order was delivered to the HSG address in Portland. Waiting to consolidate another order from my friend sop that I can ship them together.

SheiK !
How did you place the order in Googleplay usa site?
I also enrolled with HSG via my paypal sign in . They are quoting around $23-24 for the first 500gm + $ 4 or so the next every 500gm. Their prtland address is indeed tax free state. Googleplay charges delivery charges of $15 or so. With VPN I did went about placing the order in Googleplay (with HSG's Oregon address as address of delivery)but when I have to tick the option credit card address (citi bank with Hyderabad address) not same as delivery address, the space did not have any option other than USA.
(I mean Zip is 5 digits only ) so I stopped it there.so it is still in cart.
HSG is offering Buying on our behalf. but it is a stiff 10% (Did you go for it?) Did you pay Googlepay usa thro a freind with us issued credit card?

Consolidating with other freind is a sound idea as first 500gm is the costliest in International express shipping.
Iam willing to buy one nexus 7 32 Gb+ nexus 4 16gb. but I live in hyd!!
Did HSG gave any idea of customs duty+ service charge? According to Ishop Rs 1750.
I checked with Ishop. They quote close to Rs 24k or so (all in)but 3-5 weeks waiting is a lot.

sauravhow much duty you paid to the courier for your nexus 4 ? Your freind also paid the similar amount? You got it in UK thro a freind and couriered as a private parcel right? (not thro a freight forwarder)Iam trying to order from USA and ship it by Dropbox address with either using borderlinx/Hopshopgo like that. They are quoting Indian customs duty like rs 1750. Just curious.
