Child Plan on zee dish tv dth

Hi!!I was looking for different plans of Dish TV. Can anyone let me know what exactly is a Child Plan in Dish Tv. Anyone using it and are there any restriction apart from being 170 for 28 cities and 230 for other cities.

Child Plan is for your additional TV. Not for the primary connection. If you have more than one TV, you can take a Child Plan on your non-primary TV

Just check it. According to DishTV's site you get all the channels of Platinum pack on Child connection . Earlier it was not like that.Is the information correct?

I think you are right. Anyway, DishTV is still the cheapest (and best I would say) for single or multi-room use.

Darn! :wall:If this would have been there a year back I wouldn't have bought a new DishTV connection for my second TV.Is it possible to buy child pack now without buying a new STB?

^ I think you can just ask them to transfer the amount from your second TV into your first TV's account, and make it a child plan.

Can't take such a big risk especially as the involved party is DishTV. Better I would wait for the existing Platinum pack of my second TV to expire and then attempt such task!

Yes you can always switch to Child Plan without the need of purchasing a new STB.I also had 2 STBs for a longtime, 1 with platinum pack and the other with silver pack.I wanted to convert my 2nd connection as a Child connection cos it gives more than value for money.I just wrote a mail to customer care and they confirmed that its possible to convert your 2nd connection as a child connection but for that your both connection needs to be on a Platinum pack then only it can be converted.So as per there instructions i upgraded my my 2nd connection from Silver to platinum and gave a request for child connection and within 2 hours my 2nd connection was converted to Child connection.Now i'm more than happy Go for it you won't have any issues regarding conversion and not only that they will also adjust your existing balance accordingly.

No you can not take child pack untill you have a multiTV connection in your home and the parent connection will have platinum as base pack.

Also if you have 2 separate connection in your home at the same address then you can convert them in Multi tv connection and can enjoy child plan on that with platinum pack on parent connection.

Thank you guys for your answer.Now that I've still some more months to go for the second TV's platinum pack to expire, I would convert it into a child pack as soon as it is about to expire.That way I don't run the risk of losing my existing balance (yes I'm still skeptical about that ) and secondly I wouldn't have to buy a platinum pack again for the second TV.
