No such thing in the app. Again, could be because the only product i have is not being taken over.

Weird thing is that they are still having offers and selling the Paytm Citi product. Typically you get a card with minimum 3 years expiry. So, if someone does get this card now and they are not transferring it to Axis , are they saying they will support this for two more years after they leave.

And if they will be offered an alternate product and this one will cease to function, then seems odd that they are selling a product that is not going to last even a year.

That is Paytm's problem. Citi will show middle finger as they won't care about their image. It is Paytm who will take a beating. And Paytm will do what OneCard did.

Right, they also have tied up SBI. So, maybe one can expect getting a SBI card transition.

I have got 2 CC's with CITI. CITI CASHBACK & CITI Paytm. I think that's(CITI CASHBACK) why i've got a consent(transfer to axis) option while opening the app.

Right, it all sums up, that I am not being asked and will not be asked for consent.

Lets see what they (Axis/Paytm) come up as a substitute.

Mail received from CITI regarding my CITI Paytm FIRST CC
We had written to you in March 2022 about reaching an agreement with Axis Bank for the sale of Citi's consumer banking businesses in India, subject to regulatory approvals. As we move forward in this journey, our partnership with One97 Communication Ltd. (Paytm) for the co-brand Citi Paytm Credit Card comes to an end since it is not within the scope of migration to Axis Bank.

Please be assured that there will be no immediate impact on your Credit Card, and you can continue enjoying all the features and services on your card. Further for a seamless transition, both Citibank & Paytm will respectively reach out to you seeking your interest for alternate Credit Cards, offering exclusive features & benefits.

Paytm now has HDFC & SBI as partner credit cards - So I expect them to offer one of those as replacement - on surface terms & conditions look similar.

I am confused on the "Citibank will reach out" part - do they mean they will also reach out on Paytm's behalf, which makes no sense as that would be a rival card from HDFC/SBI or Axis's behalf with an alternate - which also makes less sense, but again lets see.

My association with Citibank comes to end. My employer opened Salary account in another bank. After Salary was credited in new account, I moved all amount to another account and called Citi Customer Care.
It took around 15 min call, but glad that closure could be done on phone, no need to visit branch.
In same call, asked to close Credit Card as well.
