Hi all, during the month of November 2009 I moved from plan Home-750 to Home-1350 but when I checked the bill for the month of October, I was surprised to see that I had to pay somewhere around Rs.2400!!. I investigated and found that this sum included 750 (charges for that month) and 1350 (Safety deposit) + taxes, as I had moved from a lower plan to a higher plan.

In my earlier post, where I had expressed the same grief, I was told that the security deposit amount SHOULD get adjusted in the subsequent bills, but there are 90% changes that it wont!! and I must say that it has literally happened!!, its been almost a month now that I have downgraded to the lower plan and the security deposit has not been refunded (in the bill for the month of January).

Well, there is still hope for me, as the last bill I received was for January 2010, when I was still using Home 1350 plan, which I subsequently discontinued in the month of Feb. So positively if there is any thing called as the 'refunding of Security deposit' thing, then it should happen in the bill for the month of Feb, which I will be receiving in the due course of time, probably at the end of March.

Well if it happens, its great for me!! and if doesn't, then I would have to take the next BIG step of writing to the AOTR for the Bill correction and refund. I would like to know the process of asking for the refund amount. So, if anybody has claimed the refund amount via AOTR, then please guide me with the detailed steps. If I am expected to write a formal letter, then I would need the format of the letter please.

Guys will I get the security deposit refund in the bill for the Month of Feb? How does the refund procedure go with BSNL Dataone internet?

Even I have the same query. I subscribed to Home UL 750 in Jan 2009. Now I want to switch to Home 500. In the bill of Jan 09 I paid a total of 750+750+other relevant charges. So I wanna be sure if I would get that 750 bucks back ! As far as I know sec deposits are returned only if you terminate the connection. If thats the case, then its sure cheating ! I have no plans of giving up BSNL atleast for the next 10 years from now...! I guess they will adjust it in the subsequent bills !
