Hi, I need to get myself a new laptop but not sure what is the most value-for-money out there :S I'll be using it mostly for internet, college work, some entertainment, music, movies, light gaming ... Not sure how much I should spend, as long as the specs match the performance expected of the price ... do u guys have any experience getting a laptop u think is "value-for-money"? Which models do you think are "value-for-money" and why do you think so?? Please help!! Thanks!!!!

According to me.. Dell Inspiron 1525 would be the best for you...

Acer Aspire 4930. Best Value for money Laptop in market. C2D 2.0, 2 Gb, 160 Gb, HD display just for 35k. Better value for moneyAcer Aspire 4530 AMD Turion 1.9, 1 GB, 160 GB just for 29k

what is your budget? nothing can be said without mentioning your budget.

I'm looking at Rs 20,000 - 30,000

30K?

you might want to check out compaq laptops. a core 2 duo with 2GB ram should be around 32-33K.

None less than 35k!

for 33k there is one model with 512megs RAM and C2D 1.83 Ghz.

this is pretty weird. a friend of mine purchased a compaq core2duo with 2GB RAM for 32K last year. it even had a webcam and a 160GB HDD. No OS though. No bluetooth as well.
