On the 6th, there is going to be a mad rush for the free Jio voice and data.

Before that
, the others have to come out with something big, to stop the rot............. or they might as well shutdown now only.

Voice revenue is huge, none can afford to lose it.

Data is to be charged for video calls only not voice calls(volte)

T&C point 1 on jio site
1. Voice is truly free – no charge towards voice or the data used to make 4G voice calls.

Two new plans have been added on the Aircel website
300 for 5Gb 3G
600 for 11 Gb 3G

They are following the Bsnl plans........ hopefully more players will start offering unlimited 3G plans :p

please, start new threads for new updates. these updates otherwise disappear in these threads.

Aircel new plan is an independent news for Aircel section. Not everyone is interested in Jio and not everyone is going to go through thread with multitudes of pages to see what other players have launched.

A good way to deal with it is to create threads for new plans from other operators in their sections and post a link to that thread in the first post of this thread so that all the new plans launched by competitors in response to Jio are accessible from a easily located place.

Just my opinion.

There is no news for Aircel, the plans were quietly updated on their site.
From the link I posted in #46, there is
298 3G&2G Limited 5GB 3G data and Overage Charges @ 25p/MB 28 Days
a little further down the page is the old plan
597 3G&2G Unlimited 5 GB 30 Days

The 298 plan wasn't there yesterday :p

Rather than competing with JIO, they are complaining, what can you expect from these money suckers?
Even JIO plans aren't good for data users but 149Rs. plans is the best value for money, Like you get u/l night data call and sms with u/l tv mags cinema hd music which you could watch/download via other network also ( I myself checked ) is too good I guess.
