Complain via Calls/emails to these BSNL officers

well i guess that we can seriously think up of drafting a letter and sending the same with our signatures or whatever to the communications minister.. one set of rules for `mtnl' (free d/load during the night) and another for `bsnl'? Pupudada!

That MTNL is offering a NU plan for 256kbps at Rs500 for Mumbai and Delhi and that there is discrimination against customers in the rest of country by BSNL is a very strong point to make, to get at least 1 unlimited usage plan from BSNL.When 1 government owned telco can offer it at that cost, there is NO justifiable reason fro BSNL not to offer it as well. BSNL grediness and atempt to ripoff its customers seems to have no limit. In any case, CANCELLED DataOne service today. It is just not worth it at Rs 2/MB.Airtel at 128kbps unlimited at Rs900 is much better and 256kbps unlimited at Rs500 till Aug 31.--P.S: Everyone email/call these people and express your views and the points above ,in your own words. Not a cut and paste job or it wont be authentic.Only public pressure will force BSNL to get some common sense like MTNL.

shall be meeting the reporters of leading newspapers here in kolkata and tell them about the discrepancies of `bsnl' & `mtnl'.. let them carry the article.. should help :P Pupudada!

hmm so the days of BSNL is oh so awesome are over? it is surprising that u are blaming bsnl now about something everyone knew for 6 months.

hey susubh, sorry for the delay in replying to this thread.. just noticed this one by you. anyways, `bsnl' had openly mentioned about giving subscribers a 6 months test period from 1st january (that's how one arrives at the 6 months period)... well, i had applied in the 2nd week of january and after feasibility tests and what not, i finally got the modem on the 5th of march and the connection on the 15th of march.. i do guess that i can blame `bsnl' for that  Pupudada!

p.s.: may be going back to `vsnl' from next month! will see if reliance arrives into the picture in the meantime too.

well, u can't expect much from these sarkari ppl...otherwise, we'd have been a "developed" country by now...not "developing" :)
