Hello Experts,I have this broadband connection provided by the local cable TV provider. There is a LAN cable that goes into my laptop LAN port. There is an static IP setting that has to done in the lan TCPIP properties to get connected as well as I have to dial up ( with a user name and password)to establish a connection. Now I want to use a wifi router along with this to provide access to multiple laptops at home. Im planning to buy the Netgear wireless router. will it be possible for me to get the connectivity to multiple laptops. what configuration settings should I be using?thanks in advance

Local cable wallah :. Which ISP link is given by him ?Probably you may have to connect it to a LAN1 port in Netgear WIFI router. (and LAN2 to laptop for testing )Then the usual setting with the wireless wizard. Please wait. Usually a cable modem from the Cable TV provider is required. How the TV signals and broadband signals separated at your end ?
