confusion in download limit for this month, plz help

friends,in april08 , i booked for bsnl landline and broadband connection,i got landline connection on 29may08and got broadband connection on=11june2008Plan=Home 500 C+Now i am confused about 2 things as heared & readed much about bsnl's strange way of doing calculation,so please help me in clarifying these:-1=broadband connectionbill will come from 1 june08 or 11june08 ?[bill of may for 4 days already arrieved]2=as Download/Upload Limit (GB)=2.5GB for this plan is 2.5gbso can i use 2.5 gb or because plan started on 11june08so Download/Upload Limit will be much less?3=as bsnl shows usage in mb at their calculationsso how much mb is 2.5gb according to bsnl ?[as i don't know which maths they use]thx

1. BB connection bill will be from 11 june.2. You wont get 2.5 gb for june as u got connection on 11th. So its pro-rata basis i.e. 1.67 gb approx3. 1024x2.5 = 2560 mb

Get 14digit portal ID/password from Exchange. and check your usage.
You will be billed 500/30 x 20 as rent and your day D/L U/L will be approx 1.7GB = 1.7x1024MB = 1.7x1024x1024 KB
1 GB = 1024MB 1MB=1024KB

according to prorata basis you are allowed to use 1700 mb(85/day) for these 20 days. damn bsnl...

Get fast the Portal ID 14 digit and password , check usage
before downloading movies etc during rest of the month during day time.

Always switch off modem at 0155 and restart around 0210 and again switch off at 0755 AM
Pro rata is per day basis , only for the first month of connection.
