Ok a good news. Opened the router fiddled with the reset button and other stuff and now i am able to connect to the router settings.Changed the router ip to 192.168.1.10 and starting ip to 192.168.1.11 till 254. Then connected the BSNL wire to WAN port but its showing orange/yellow light. Its unable to establish link. Also in lan card i selected obtain ip automatically and i am unable to open the router or bsnl modem page now

did you have the BSNL UT300R2U router connected before and running all properly? and now you want to connect the wifi router, am i right?keep the BSNL router setting the same as it was before.in the Netgear wifi router, keep internet ip,dns to get automatically. set the lan ip address to 192.168.1.2 (assuming the ip address of adsl router is 192.168.1.1). turn off dhcp in wifi router. connect lan wire from adsl modem to one of the LAN ports of wifi router.on your pc, keep ip address and dns to get automatically.

what was the other stuffs ? many people may wants to know !

and, you were able to login to router before.. now nothing came in between right ? so, you should be able to connect ! BSNL ut300R comes after Netgear router ! Is your system not getting IP from Router ? if Not, give the same static ip as you gave initially. If yes, what it is ? is it having subnet 255.255.255.0 with a gateway 192.168.1.10 ?

After changing the router IP, you should type http://192.168.1.10 not 1.1 !

hehe other stuff means cleaned and checked the wiring and soldering.

Finally got it working. Now the steps how i got it working.

1. Reseted both BSNL and Netgear Routers.
2. Configured my BSNL to PPOE mode so it dials as soon as modem starts
3. Didn't change any settings related to DHCP. It was enabled.
4. Disconnected BSNL modem and connected netgear router.
5. typed 192.168.1.1 and entered netgear settings. Manually setup the router. Left everything default just changed the LAN IP Setup to 192.168.0.1 (new ip to access the netgear settings).
6. Enabled DHCP on netgear too.

Saved settings. Turned off both BSNL and Netgear and inserted BSNL LAN TO NETGEAR WAN and turned them on and :D Its working

I manually used the ips to setup the wifi router but after that now i am using automatically obtain DNS and IP address.

so, you were using dialer before.. never mentioned anywhere ! good boy !

Nah i wasnt using dialer before. But when i reset my BSNL MODEM it goes back to bridge mode and i had to set it to PPPoE mode and enable firewall.

if it is going to bridge mode, cant you setup all pppoe details in router than bsnl modem ? that looks even more better to control port forwarding and stuffs !
