Hello Friends,It's great to have found this forum to address my long standing BB woes.I have a situation which goes like this:Sometimes my internet connection breaks - but I don't get any notification ...such as a window popping to prompt user id/pwd or any window stating that the connection is lost. Web pages stop opening up and the IMs get disconnected. That's when I know that the connection is lost.The interesting part....When I look at the desktop data one dialer icon [Bridge connection] the icon is still lit up and when I go to disconnect the connection by right clicking on the icon the "Disconnect" option is simply de-activated [engraved]At that stage when I try to reboot my PC - my pc gets stuck at the "Saving your settings" mode and I have to reset my PC to get it working again.What do you think is the reason for this issue - a friend of mine told me that there could be a virus at the partition sector causing this mess.I am totally clueless - I formatted my PC but this thing seems to keep hitting me back n forth.FYI - I am using UT300R2U ADSL modem and have a Unlimited 1350 Plus planPlease help me with this - this thing is really irritating.Thanks a lot!

1 check your settings. either Dialer mode or "Always On Mode "

Confirm PC problem is still there or not.Give more details.Keep Applications at Startup to the minimum.Could be RAM problem.When PC freezes Press ALT+CTRL+DEL keysTask Manager will open. See which application/s is/are not responding.In processes see the CPU usage. 100% ?

Did you format the whole PC or only C drive. If C drive, run a full system scan. Your PC is showing symptoms of a virus infection. You will find some useful tools here

I had similar problems. If the dropper is not in the C drive, even if we format C and reinstall Windows, dropper will download malware into other drives. I use format my system very frequently after finding KoolyNoody virus again and again. You need to try a full system scan in that case.
