yes, right Amish, even i read that and that is why i raised the question today that it is due to that india couldnt win the match, thats because setmax wanted trp ratings and more advertisements.

Still no word in, on close of play. Andrei: \"Who would have thought - you can't play cricket after 6pm in NZ in April. Whoever made the decision to retain an 11 am start when daylight saving ceased should be made to compensate all paying spectators and TV viewers.\"

As per above quote, and as it happens in many countries, Tests begins at 11 AM. MAX wanted to make Tests start at 12 Noon, which was opposed by NZC and even Dhoni had commented against Test at 12 Noon. http://cricket.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/4276176.cms
Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's concern about the unconventional 12 noon start to the first Test against the Kiwis has been put tp rest by New Zealand Cricket, which has decided to stick to the original start time of 1100 hrs (local time).

So as per 1st quote (by Andrei), he mentioned that after daylight savings are applied, NZC should have been bit flexible is adjusting start times, as even clocks are shifted, day begins early and it was possible to start Test early, but NZC (as per rules) started Test ,match at 11 AM only.
And what I want to mention is Sony MAX had no role in delay of test match.
