Watched the pilot. Charlie Cox is excellent! The fight sequences look visibly fake, or is that an intended effect?

hehe. all the fight sequences in the season are shot in dark. and with camera moving around too fast. so you have to use your imagination on what is happening. low budget constraints i guess.

I mean that scene with the containers at the beginning, where he punches the dude repeatedly in the face, it is pretty clear that none of the punches actually land on the guy's face, more like Matt punching in thin air. Found that a bit weird.

well yeah. this is turning into another arrow. there are extreme reviews. some people absolutely love it. others find it terrible. i am in the latter group. there are some useless prolonged dialogues that literally puts you to sleep. this is pretty much the arrow of the marvel world.

The first is season is all about the origin of the hero. So largely all the background stories.

the supporting cast is the worst. and the sidekick of the bad guy was probably the worst ever. banshee has the best sidekick of the bad guy. even scarier than the bad guy!
