Yeah.. But which other mobile phone is available @ 14.5k which has AMOLED, 4" screen, 1 Ghz processor , WiFi+3G ....

haha. it is also a Dell which means that it would probably remain stuck with the OS that it came with and would probably have little to none third party mod support

yea. my dad has a streak and Dell abandoned it after froyo. thankfully, a few days back someone finished porting a complete CM7. so now its running 2.3.7.

Is a custom ROM available for the Venue... If so, it makes it a very competitive model (if you can ignore that its a Dell, that is) ...

It seems there is no active development for this device at XDA-Developers, Dell Venue forum is almost inactive.

True.. But some work seems to have been carried out earlier... so an older Gingerbread based ROM should be available, I feel... All I am saying is that the features I mentioned above + 8 MP Camera etc ... make it a consider worthy model.. in the 15k segment...

Went through some threads. Yes, stock deodexed Gingerbread ROM is available.
