Difference Between Airtel And Bsnl 256 Ul

there are many reasons for which i like airtel...
i'll tell you about an incident where i had moved over to a plan with speeds of 2mbps...the plan had a download limit to it.... having never used download based plans...I didnt understand what download limit was ,, so i took it as a limit only for download.... infact airtel CC didn't explain it as well even when i had asked them/ the airtel site had words like download limit..and not data transfer limit. Next thing i know my bill is double... was hoping it to be 1500/- came out as 3500/-,, i got mad as hell hated airtel till my bones... called their CC talked with few supervisors.... made 10-15 calls actually.... So finally i got a call from Backend billing and they agreed to give me a 1500/- waiver... 20 days and my trouble got sorted...:)
But yes those 15 days were sure annoying... :madness:...
Now i can't expect that from BSNL can I???
And yes if BSNL gives me a good deal... just like cyberwiz i will surely move to BSNL...:thumbsup:

Me and Vishal Rao had some exchanges and i'm not too happy about them either... I hope he forgives me....:redface:.... So again get what ever suites you best but stop pulling others down...:P

kyrl has given the verdict/judgement in favor of AIRTEL.. No more appeals. BSNL BB users switch over to Airtel, to avoid contempt of court and punishment., including 50 days in jail. Thank you.

@kyrl Airtel billing . Once it happened to me. An amount ( immaterial) pertaining to dec appeared in my bill for say June .
When CC was contacted, they agree to waive the amount in the next bill.
When I asked if 10,000 customers are billed Rs 100 extra every month, in each region and the amount returned next month , you can have say about 2 crores without interest for a month ! Mittal is happy .And kyrl is also happy and goes "gaga" over Airtel CC!

If something is repeated "ad nauseum" you will get the opposite reaction, that is what is happening to your postings in Airtel forum ,and here at BSNL forum.
There is no question of loyalty to any ISP and we are free to decide which ISP to choose./retain.
What the users want is reflected in the number of complaints about waiting list for MTNL and BSNL BB connections.

i'd like to continue those "exchanges" with kyrl but this is supposed to be a family forum :Pi have seen plenty of complaints against airtel's speed and customer service, many on this forum itself, so i see no point in a single person trumpeting how great airtel is.in my case i could proclaim BSNL to be awesome because I have almost never had a problem with them and have always gotten full speeds since Jan 2005 which is 3 yrs now!yes, BSNL upload speeds are sucky, but i dont do torrents and no need to maintain any ratios, so i dont mind... hehe
 
i think h500 is great plan just schedule and get 4GB daily,they said up to 2mbps will be the speed but i found never 1800kbps below myself in downloading anything even torrent if u have good seeders,who cares about upload speed,i get 50KB/s upload speed with this i can seed a little more and my ratio becomes 1:1,so no plan can beat h500 of bsnl if u don't browse too much.there is no such plan in airtel beside customer care comes when u have problem i don't get single problem in my connection and performance till yet,yea i didn't know about there maths of calculating but now i understood,so my download starts daily exact 2.02am and close at 7.58am,and download hd movies easily with this which i never think with slow speeds of 256 and 512kbps,i paid around 1200rs/month many times but i don't even think about changing my bsnl connection because i got every month around 150GB,so i am very happy with this plan and bsnl is the only one who gives 2mbps at 500rs..
 
i have noticed that BSNL has good standards in some places...@essbebe Moderator ..... don't sound like one!!:P@Rao I'll keep that in mind....XD ........... :D
 
CUSTOMER CARE OF AIRTEL IS GOOD ATLEAST THEY KNOW WHAT IS kbps AND WHAT IS KB/SEC.AIRTEL'S CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES ARE TRAINED.WHEREAS BSNL CHATAONE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES ARE NONE BUT POLITICAL PEOPLE WHO WERE DRIVERS OF LOCAL BUSES,RICKSHAWS AND AUTOS AND NOW THEY ARE IN BSNL.THEY KNOW NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I AM TELLING THIS FROM MY PERSONAL OBSERVATION.:wall:

BSNL HAS NO HELPDESK EMAIL ID WHICH GIVES RESPONSE IN 24HOURS WHERES AIRTEL HAS BOTH 24HOURS DEDICATED CALL CENTRE AND EMAIL RESPONSED WITHIN 24HOURS.

I completely agree with this as they dont really know anything ! Their main hobby is to tease us. Last time one told me to "go and take a ball pen". when i asked for what, reply was "do as i say". i politely told him that i have notepad if you want me to notedown something like complaint number. he said "No, you have to take ball pen". after sometime, he told me "IT IS TO RESET THE ROUTER". if he had told me earlier i would have told there is no reset button on my router (WA3002G4). He was not agreeing when i told him that there is no reset button. Finally when i started shouting back, he said "OH, that model doesnt have one" !

and another, when i asked a complaint status, another said "it will take 3 working days (ie 24 working hours). after 4 days i got my connection back..

But connection speed i am happy (eventhough earlier i enjoyed 8mbps unlimited for a price less than $50) !! they told 256 and i am getting always much above that !!

As said above in his post, BSNL people (most of them) hardly know anything about this Internet !!
