my question: software i am using for recording, editing, and for compressing is COOL EDIT PRO. from the 1st figure it is quite clear that, the free space in my drive D (which is the system drive) is 8.23 gb free (i ve market it with a circle)....

2nd figure shows MY COMPUTER, but it when i click the Drive D, it shows free space 6.38 gb :confused:

i believe, cool edit pro gives the correct space available...

is there any way to overcome this confusion. can i get back that display to normal ? answers to this will be much appreciated..

thank u :)

with windows you can really not tell how much space you really have. software keeps on saving and deleting data (swap)...then there is system restore which keeps on eating more space as time passes by...

but at any given time u should not see a 2GB difference in free space from two different software :Di would trust the reading of explorer anyways :Dand run disk cleanup if you want some extra space. try ccleaner too :D
