Dilemma over ACT

Today i was given the pamplet of ACT broadband in chennai adyar, the tariff was very good but due to my bad exp. in the past i am hesitating.
Similarly two months back after seeing many adds and pamplets of Reliance broadband i decided to move out of Airtel but had my bad instinct over reliance even after getting it. Within 10days of my installation i gave request for termination and this trail cost me Rs.2000 but thank god fortunately i held my Airtel line so i switched back to airtel. Reliance gave me one hell of a exp. in service and thought me a lesson that service is more important than cost.
With Airtel, though it is costly for the past 8 years i am with it and i have faced service issues only 5 to 8 times that's called gold class service and the only problem with airtel is low FUP and too Expensive if they are ready to review these things they will be the leader in BB in india.
Now coming to ACT after reading through all the reviews in this forum as well as in other websites it is clearly visible that more than 50% of the customers face issues either with connection or service and the ACT official rep. responds and promises to resolve the issue. This is something similar to Reliance BB.
So my dilemma is don want to trail once and loose my money for this testing or go for it and try it if am lucky enough will get some cheap BB replacement for Airtel.
can anyone please post genunie thought on this?

Get ACT. Then move to the lowest plan of AIrtel for some time (days or weeks) till you are satisfied with ACT's uptime/service. If you are not satisfied, you finish your month with ACT & cancel it.

Yup this is exactly what I am planning to do. I need reliable internet so will stick with Airtel on a low browsing-only plan till ACT can prove its reliability.

This is exactly what I did, I switched to a lower plan on Airtel 4G as backup data connection.. The service in my area seems to be pretty good.. (I am the only one with connection in my area and the fiber cables are placed right on top of my house)... haven't experienced downtimes so far... Thinking of moving to a higher plan on ACT and share internet with my neighbour ;p....

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately i will ot be able to take this conection becoz my existing D-Link wireless router will not work with it :-( and the new router i have to buy and this one also i bought recently. The ACT reps. are itself in a confusion one person said they will provide free router and the other said it will cost me extra..

What router do you have at the moment? Model number?
I am using D-Link 2750U ADSL2+ router.
One more thing as many already stated customer care is very poor in knowledge. I received a call from a landline and a lady said that my wifi router will not work and they will provide free Wi-fi router for me without any cost and again later a guy called and said that my router will not work and i have to pay Rs.2000 for the router and said the lady spoke earlier did not have knowledge in this info, so weird before getting connection.

I never thought that Customer care will be so bad i sent a mail i got Auto-reply that will respond within 4hrs to 24 hrs till now no one responded it is been 5 days. very poor must be careful to take connection if they continue to do this even after getting connection.
