I found one good information on other forum which gives you most of channels at 330 Rs.

SOD Recommends on Packages.

I think it is best choice for anyone. ALso they show that if NEO Pack removed than you can watch all channels for 340 Rs only. I think best value

I do not know why people are waiting for Airtel and videocon, when Reliance with big money in thier pockets could not give benefit to costomer,we can not expect big thing from new dth operators, every body is their to make money and every body has to pay to star,Sony & sun to give us including their profit,Dish TV even after 4 years of operation, running in crores of rupees loss.Do not expect any thing cheap till govt of India makes mandatory Rs 5 each channel pricing control on them or shift to cable??

IT is incorrect to say that BIG TV will not be offering HD channels simply because the STB doesnt have HDMI. The STB does have component out, and Component cables are capable of delivering content in HD to the TV. Whether the BIG TV STB is capable of doing it is another thing. Also, there are rumours on other discussion forums that the USB port (which is not active yet, and perhaps will be activated through a future firmware upgrade) will serve as the connection port for pen drives, HDDs or some Reliance proprietary storage drive to act as a DVR. However, the cutomer care is too dumb to confirm or guide on these matters. :ashamed: Could anyone tell me if there is a big difference between using component and composite cables? It seems no one experiments with cables or settings.

These are 100% correct. Now i am using Tata Sky Rs.260 pack + Ten Sports = Rs. 275/-. If i go to Big TV then i will select South Starter pack Rs. 175 + Tamil add on pakc Rs.30 + Cartoon pack Rs. 25. Total = Rs. 230/- and i save rs. 45 + i get NDTV imagine, ZOOM, 9x etc :yahoo:

well i am pretty sure its not HD capable,HD stb cost from 4000 upwards, the STB had less hanging issues when the user interface and menus were of a single color ,only after they updated the software and firmware to the existing multi color one did the STB started to freeze, hang etc.

but when u manually reset the STB it give a message "WARNING ALL THE CONTENT IN DVR WILL BE LOST", this message however is no longer shown because of the new software update.so the usb port is for the DVR.

Well all i can say is that DTH in india is not upto the markif dth continues to be like this itll take yrs to beat cable

wait for airtel-videocon ...they wil surely start a price war
