your upload speed should be 80% of the total upload speed.THe modem cannot handle so many connections and needs upload for some other things.cap it

no you dont need to buy anything else.. if you choose an 8mbps plan , airtel would automatically sync you to 8mbps , then the line rate would show 8mbps..

I've got the same problems as the OP, but mine started after I changed my router to a D-Link after my first Billion router got fried in a lightning storm. It seems the dlink can't handle heavy torrenting....
