DISGRACEFUL LIVE TELECAST of CRICKET MATCHES BY SONY MAX

one of the worst thing that could have happened to international cricket telecast front has been Sony getting telecast rights of NEW ZEALAND & IPL Matches . SONY MAX HAVE SOME VERY BASIC INHERITNT PROBLEM WITH TELECAST OF MATCHES.

1 THEY DO NOT SHOW HIGHLIGHT
WHICH IS IMPERITIVE AS NEW ZEALAND MATCHES ARE IN MORNING AND MOST OF PEOPLE ARE EITHER SLEEPING OR AWAY WITH OFFICE .

HENCE CRICKET HIGHLIGHTS ARE MUST

2 PICTURE QUALIT Y IN REALITY SUCKS , EVEN THOUGH THE PRODUCTIOP N IS BEING DONE BY SKY SPORTS AND THAT TOO IN HIGH DEFINATION FORMAT , STILL THE PICTURE QUALITY IS LEFT MUSH TO DESIRE FOR

That's reason why some specialised sports channel should have got Cricket rights like ESS, TEN, or atleast Zee/Neo. Don't know how Sony will handle IPL with such sort of telecast type

I was seriously hoping that ESPN get the rights..But it now is with Sony, guess will have to watch charu sharma and mandira bedi doing tarot card reading :hysterical:

Anyone knows which tv channel is going to telecast New Zealand vs Bangladesh and New Zealand vs Australia cricket series 2010 ??I checked the schedules of Sony channels, none of them are showing....

NewZealand Matches were shown on Sony SAB (not live but deffered)previously.India Match was on Max.They have rights till 2011.

When they dont want to show the live matches, why the hell do they buy the rights. At least sports channels like ESPN/Star Cricket can give us live feed.

Only sports channels must be allowed to bid for international cricket rights.Sony bagged it just for the one series featuring india.

Sony set max is a general entertainment channel that has showcased several television series in the past including IPL i believe.

Yes it has telecasted several matches before.But the matches in newzealand(india series excluded) for which it has the rights have been virtually blacked out.The matches used to be deffered live on Sony Sab at midnight.

There are chances sometimes two channels telecast live matches. One should be by a proper sports channel.
