Why should we proud of any service provider ?
I doubt whether any SD viewer dreams big for Marans, as some TS viewers dream big for Tata. :hysterical::hysterical:
Rightly said! It doesn't matter how big service provider is. Its service 'provided' that matters to customers, so be it from TATA's, Ambani's or local operators

You are correct. There is no need for customers like us to be proud. Maran not going to pay money to us. Subash not going to do it. Vikram won't do it. TS people will think big for Tata :hysterical: :hysterical:

He is ignoring everyone. So he might have missed it. Now Tata Sky's sales will drop to bottom. Hard times for them. Dish tv and Sun direct enjoy sales :)

But TS people will not sit idle. They jump into every forum/thread.:yahoo::hysterical:

They might be glad that you are also part of it:yahoo::hysterical: as you have also witnessed them by blogging onto several threads and forums:P

May not be. Neither I dream big for, nor proud of, Tata or any other service provider. :yahoo::thumbsup::hysterical::rofl:

MUMBAI: The DTH (direct-to-home) action has moved to the southern market even as Sun Direct has mopped up one million subscribers in a short span of 200 days with low subscription pricing.
With Sun pricing its packages from as low as Rs 10 to Rs 140, market leader Dish TV has been forced to drop rates. The Zee Group DTH operator, boasting of 3.5 million subscribers across the country, has reduced the entry cost by over 40 per cent and introduced a special hat-trick offer for its subscribers in the four southern states.
As per the new rates, a new Dish TV connection in South India would now be available for Rs 1990 (plus Rs 200 as installation charges) from the earlier Rs 2,950 (plus Rs 200). In addition to this, there is monthly recurring cost starting at Rs 60 per month going up to Rs 300 per month.
Dish TV is also offering three benefits to subscribers under the hat-trick offer. The subscribers will be offered five leading sports channels, 33 free movies and unlimited gaming free for one year. Sun Group's DTH offering includes 14 add-on packages (ranging from as low as Rs 10 to Rs 140) to \"suit every pocket\" in a \"Pay for what you watch\" concept. The one million subscribers, the company says, have come from only the four southern states - Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh - and the union territory of Pondicherry.
Sun Direct launched four regional basic tiers consisting of over 100 plus channels specific to each southern state (Tamil basic, Telugu Basic, Kannada Basic and Kerala basic) at the rate of Rs 75 per month.
Sun Direct now plans to have a national roll out strategy.

Any Idea of the list of channels???.. Still we can not believe Dish TV or Tata Sky as both will not concentrate more on addition of regional channels compared to Sun Direct. Though we may see only particular good channel, it may be required when needed. Surely Dish or TS have to concentrate both south and north. Even if Sun expands to north, they will think more of south customer.

I dont think TS will add any more south indian channels at the max i think they can add 1 channel each for Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam & Kannada but i dont have any clue on Dish TV but dish tv has more tamil channels than TS. I totally agree with you that Sun Direct strategy would be to lure more south indian customers who are based in north india believe it or not i think that population is also a potential market....... Most of the Senior Officer and above in Govt department in north india are mostly south indians. I think those people will prefer SD where in it has got almost all the south indian channels along with popular hindi channels and i am sure those people will like SD.........

SCV is in TN only, SUN channels for South only, SD at present is for South only. But revenues wise it competes with Indian media groups like STAR, ZEE etc. It shows south market is not small.

I think sun channels revenue and zee tv revenues are much better than Star Channels India.
