My neighbour and I both have DNA-A211-I BSNL WIFI modem. We need to connect each computes by Wireless Bridging(WDS). Can any one give a step by step procedure to do it. (wiring the modems using cable is not feasible)

1. Presume Only one of you have a BSNL BB connection . Confirm

2. What is the distance involved.

3. Apartment complex/house. different floors etc .

4. Program both for wifi operation to Internet with the
BB connection available.
5. If the Distance involved is not much
without additional wifi router the other computer can pick
up the signals.

6. For Instance with my ISP OFF/Modem off/WIFI router off
I get 4 secured/unsecured wiFI networks.

7. A Rj45 cable can be used max 100 feet ( 30 Meters)
without significant signal loss.

8. You have to use both wifi routers as Access point.
I recently discussed this in this forum or elsewhere.
Check AP mode is available in wireless settings page.

REF: similar model with same hardware board.

1. We both have BSNL BB connection.2. abt 20mts3. house 4. both our wifi is working5. yes i am able to pick up his signal and vice versa.6.7. RJ45 cable is not possible bcos of other reasons.8. Yes AP mode is availablelet me know the step by step procedure on how to do WDS(wireless bridging)

If you can connect to his wifi network with proper signal strength, no need for AP mode. if signal is weak/ position router( antenna) at a greater height, and rotate it for max signal. Antenna parallel to ground. ( same like rotating the old DD Tv antenna). Or one of you can go for a 2N wifi router. Dual Antenna with more power. .
