you can ping a site even when dns is down. for eg. ping 161.58.88.250
any dns server can be used with any isp. Only difference is it might just take a little longer to get back the dns query. But that ofcourse doesnt make any diff. to a user like me.

someoneone plz tell how to use another DNS in my MT882 router from bsnl ..i gets teh dns 61.1.96.71and will changing dns gives me better pings for gaming ?i get diff pings on diff days which is annoying ... is there any way to use a custom route??replay soon

^^ it should be similar to Huawei mt882login to modem , look at : home -> dns -> secondary dns addressand 61.1.96.71 is the alternate dns to 61.1.96.69provided by BSNL .

Yesterday onwards I faced lot of problem connecting to "dataone" with primary DNS server : 61.1.96.69 and secondary DNS server : 61.1.96.71. Does anyone have the same problem?
