Do I need a new router?

@Zexen this isn't completely true. Depending on the ISP, they may over provision slightly. In this case, if the line coming into home is EPON/GPON or gigabit ethernet, ONT is Gigabit and router is also Gigabit. Closer to 100Mbps, maybe even slightly above 100Mbps is achievable.
You are right . My ISP has provisioned it slightly more . On a 100 Mbps , the speedtest touches 150-160 Mbps for nearly half second and drops to 110 Mbps . So it is achievable . I get this on 5ghz wifi . The LAN usually gives 130 sometimes constantly

I'm getting stable 90 Mbps up and down, and the pursuit to get the maximum transfer rate becomes an OCD at times. I'll just give Rs. 50 less to my LCO. Lol

Yeah May be your are right this is not only with archer c6 also in Archer a7 also I faced this. By the way iam having both the Archer c6 and a7 faced same issue on both of this. The only solution I got is puging and unplugging upto 10 times with a new cat6 cable and finally it worked for me.
Even after flashing openwrt also i had this issue but it didn't troubled me much just a new cable and couple of plugs and unplugs worked.
