I mostly slept through the episode waiting for the end. But looking at the social media discourse, it was an amazing watch for people who watched the original series. Getting old doctors and their companions into a cohesive storyline was fantastic. Personally, I think the few moments at the end with Tennant were better than much of the whole show in a looong time. Tennant would do three episodes with Tate returning as well. Netflix guy would take over with Tennant regenerating in the third episode I imagine. But we would have to wait till November of next year to see Tennant as the 14th doctor. I believe new guy would take over before the end of 2023 as well.

I saw some clips of the new guy from the Netflix show. He is a bit too much for me. But than I sort of thought the same about Smith once he took over from David so maybe there’s hope. I can safely say the show seems to be in good hands with a pretty solid gen-z choice of the next doctor and getting Tennant back for 3 episodes basically keep people like me interested in the show and waiting for the future episodes.
