eh, i don't think so. He's not eccentric enough. I'd love to see Johnny Depp or Jim Carrey as a doctor, but that's not gonna happen. :p

We need a spoiler tag for androidfreak :tongue:No they didn't. It should be clear for anyone who watches the show.

I think they shouldn't have done the "Introducing John Hurt as The Doctor" at the end because Eleventh clearly says he is the one who broke the promise. He is the same PERSON but he is not The Doctor. Also, you have to remember that a new doctor just doesn't appear out of nowhere, the doctor regenerates. He didn't regenerate. John Hurt COULD be a future regeneration of the doctor but most probably its some old regeneration - possibly the one who used The Moment to kill all the daleks and timelords to end the time war. John: "What I did I did without choice. In the name of peace and sanity," Eleventh: "But not in the name of the Doctor."
The Doctor KNOWS what he did, so its his past not his future. He was also wearing the 9th doctors jacket and 8th doctors scarf.
