Does Airtel 5G perform better than Jio due to 300GB cap?

yes airtel 5g works great as compare to jio for me.

airtel 5g average download speed 300-350 mbps and upload speed 50-80 mbps all times

jio 5g is 20-150 mbps fluctuating all times and upload is 2-15 mbps full fluctuation even on full 5g signal.

this i had checked all over like the city center or far places.
 
This could be true in high-density areas; however, such locations have more cells as well.
Airtel has not been rolled out enough to do a proper comparison; however, no.
The 300GB cap does not result in better Airtel 5G speeds because not everyone is hammering the network 24x7 and people aren't doing speed tests every 5 seconds.
At least in India, the poor speeds in certain locations are coming from outdated backbones rather than the 5G tech itself.

and damn the conditions are still very bad. loss of 5G in key suburban stations (marine lines,dadar and andheri)

Thankfully it is much better here in Kolkata, moved everyone out of Jio. Jio barely works now in places where you need it. Airtel and VI are 2 decent options for Kolkata in my experience.
 
My friend from Kolkata has said multiple times how good Airtel is in Kolkata

In his home he gets like 350mbps down on 5G

Even outdoor speedtests he gets above 200mbps each time
 
Here so far Airtel has been quite Disappointing tbh

Mainly because I expected them to have a blanket 5G coverage by now but that’s not the case at all

Heck it seems like Vi has the 5G advantage over Airtel because they are deploying late and have the advantage of new EMF power limits and AI based optimisation (not sure if this AI actually helps)


I remember the very first days of Vi 5G and I had to dangle my hand out the window of my house to latch onto 5G and still get poor speeds

And 1 month later I was getting 5G signals inside my home.
 
@Rhishav i think Airtel benefits largely from adequate low band spectrum in Kolkata

While the same occurs with VI Mumbai as they have much higher 900mhz spectrum than Airtel
