does anyone know how to tweak the zte ac8700 router

the bsnl is providing evdo now and i m using it from an usb model named zte ac8700 .. the problem is that the router is limiting traffic most of the time.. i dont stay far away from the tower.. the persons from bsnl who showed me a demo was having a much more speedy connection.. does anyone know how to port forward in this device.. any troubleshooting links for this device?? please share if u got any idea b'coz many persons likeme are relly screwed bcoz of this... does anyone need to refresh pages during browsing... i need to.. and still my speeds are pretty slow...

I have the same problem. But I realized that mine has more to do with some tall buildings that are in the signal path. The tower is barely 2 km away. When I take the laptop+modem to the roof the signal gets a lot better. If the signal is the problem, I read that an external antena or an external antena with a booster would be of help. In fact it seems that they are common for a lot of mobile wireless devises and so there is quite a good selection available in abroad. They may be available in India also and it would be nice if I can find one locally.

that doesnt deal with tweaking the device.. thats what we need to get max speeds in torrents...

just get the zte pst and tweak it to get a static ip thats all....bsnl officer disable the static ip from ur device while activating it....they have the software....

there is a pst software for zte devices but the one available in the net is for moblies and not evdo.. and i had the chance to see jow the bsnl guys configure the device.. they normally do nothin.. they just enter ur username and password.. thats all... and there is an option to set up a static ip in the dialer but i dont know how that will work, bcoz i have tried it many times.. no response...
