Half of the Optic Fibre Bandwidth will to into his Pocket. Now that Telecom has become a Huge Scammy Department and no more money making and further scam possible , So Mr. Sibal would have decided to do new kinda scam " BROADBAND SCAM " or " NATIONAL OPTIC FIBRE SCAM " .

I do not have any hopes about Govt's Ftth. I am waiting for Hayai or Beam to lay underground and replace the existing FTTB one with FTTH.

I am more optimistic actually then all of you. you will see this a reality in a couple of years. Things are about to explode in India, all bandwidth hungry people who are starving will come out of the woods. This 3G, LTE thing can also act as a breather of a year and so and then it will collapse as it is not built for such a large BW/population requirement hence be hopeful.

well the problem with this smaller players is really the seamless integration between all services aka internet, tv and telephony. In my believe ftth will be waste if triple play is not implemented as it has too much bandwidth. bigger players like airtel, reliance are in position to use their scales to bring down the costs like cost of channels/viewing experience, the infrastructure for telephony as well as not to forget the all imp. international bandwidth.

^^^ well if countries like china can achieve this there is simply no reason why we can't, may be it will take a little more time. And i am just not talking about broadband.

I am not even pessimistic. I have absolutely no hopes on anything in India

Couldn't have said it better myself :thumbup (2):

Well, for one thing the Chinese Government actually cares about developing their country. Ours, well... do I really need to say it?
